Acts 26:19-32

“This man could have been set free if he had not appealed to Caesar" (v32).  King Agrippa and Felix and Festus focused on Paul’s quest to win his freedom from prison, and so Paul’s appeal to Caesar looked like a “mistake”.  While Paul certainly wanted his freedom, nothing could derail his deeper purpose: witnessing to the grace of God revealed in Christ to both Jews and Gentiles.  In prison or out, in Jerusalem, Caesarea or Rome, Paul was glorifying Jesus Christ.

“To this day I have had the help that comes from God …” (v22).  When we walk with God, we don’t have to worry that we will “miss out” on life’s best opportunities; instead, every day has eternal purpose.
