Acts 28:16-31
/“From morning till evening he expounded to them, testifying to the kingdom of God and trying to convince them about Jesus both from the Law of Moses and from the Prophets” (v23). Paul knew that his fellow Jews were the “natural audience” for the message that Jesus was God’s promised Messiah. “And some were convinced by what he said, and others disagreed” (v24). Paul concluded that their reaction to the gospel was a matter of the heart, not dependent on having the right ancestry (v25-27).
“He … welcomed all who came to him, proclaiming the kingdom of God …” (v30-31). Our backgrounds and cultures can’t save us; God welcomes us only on the basis of our trust in Jesus.
