Revelation 4-6

“Who is worthy to open the scroll and break its seals?" (5:2-3). John wept because “no one was worthy” to open the scroll that would reveal God’s righteousness and redemption for the world. But then he saw the “Lion of the Tribe of Judah,” who is also the Lamb who was slain and ransomed “people for God from every tribe and language” (5:9). Jesus the Messiah had the right to open the scroll because he redeemed us from our slavery to sin and gave us new names in His kingdom.

Jesus rescued us from judgment and gave us back our true destiny: “And you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they shall reign on the earth" (5:10).
