Micah 4-7

In that day, declares the LORD, I will assemble the lame and gather those who have been driven away and those whom I have afflicted …” (4:6-7). Micah saw beyond Israel’s punishment to a time when God would call the broken and the wounded to come home. From this surprising multi-national group (4:2), He would make “a strong nation” and rule over them. Rescued, healed, and full of His Spirit, they would obey His call: “to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God” (6:8).

“He does not retain his anger forever, because he delights in steadfast love” (7:18). When we recognize our need, God delights in healing our wounds and calling us home.
