Revelation 19-22

“Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people” (21:3).  In Genesis, the original purpose of God was to dwell among humanity, His “image-bearers” who prospered in the beautiful world He had created.  Human rebellion, sin and death did their best to destroy God’s purpose, but in Jesus Christ, God’s loving plan prevailed.  We will live with Him and for Him in a renewed heaven and earth, and “the nations” will be healed (22:2).

“And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new” (21:5).  The new life we experience now in Christ will find its completion when He returns.
