Isaiah 33

“The LORD is exalted …and He will be the stability of your times, abundance of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge; the fear of the LORD is Zion's treasure” (v5-6). In the middle of Isaiah’s prophesies about the coming chaos – the result of Israel’s failure to trust and obey God – the prophet reminded them of “Zion’s treasure”. The way to survive times of trouble was to cling to the Lord and follow His ways. “He who walks uprightly and speaks righteously” (v15) would “dwell on the heights” and remain secure.

“Be our arm every morning; our salvation in time of trouble” (v2). No matter what is happening around us, God is the “stability of our times” and the source of abundant salvation.
