Psalm 128
/“Blessed is everyone who fears the LORD, who walks in his ways! You shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands; you shall be blessed …” (v1-2). Walking with the Lord, knowing and obeying Him, is a secure investment in our future. Like Abraham, sometimes our faith is in God’s promises which we welcome “from a distance” (Heb 11:13); at other times, following God’s ways leads to visible blessings of work and healthy relationships.
“It shall be well with you” (v2). Whatever our circumstances, we are always part of the “blessing from Zion”(v5): the privilege of having fellowship with God, being counted as beloved citizens of His kingdom through the Son.
