Psalm 71
/“O God, from my youth you have taught me, and I still proclaim your wondrous deeds” (v17). In his later years, the psalmist desired to keep glorifying God and telling others of His kindness. He still needed the Lord’s help in life’s difficulties: “Rescue me, O my God …” (v4). Those troubles were opportunities to continue to testify to God’s love, power, and goodness. “So even to old age and gray hairs, O God, do not forsake me, until I proclaim Your might to another generation” (v18).
“Be to me a rock of refuge, to which I may continually come” (v3). Every stage in life presents us with new reasons to cast ourselves on the Lord and discover His faithfulness.
