Romans 10

“For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all” (v12).  Paul grieved that many of his fellow Jews felt their own righteousness was sufficient and rejected “the righteousness of God” revealed in the Messiah (v1-4). Just as Abraham was justified by faith and not by the Law, Jews and Gentiles both were saved by trusting that the crucified and risen Lord Jesus was the One who could make them good in God’s eyes (v9).

“Whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (v13). God rejects the proud but welcomes all who call on Him - who turn away from self-righteousness and reach out for the Savior.
