Proverbs 2
/“For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding…Then you will understand righteousness and justice and equity, every good path” (v6-9). While the proverbs affirm that God desires to guide all our choices, the emphasis is on our moral decisions rather than our career options. In a world where competing voices direct us to idolize wealth, sexuality, and social power, God’s voice helps us value “righteousness and justice and equity.” God’s voice delivers us from “the way of evil” (v12) and helps us discern right from wrong.
God wants us to “walk in the way of the good” (v20), and He enables us to do this by His Word and His Spirit.
