Psalm 30
/“O LORD my God, I cried to you for help, and you have healed me” (v2). The psalmist reminds us that our present troubles don’t define us; our long-term security comes from God’s unshakeable goodness and mercy. “Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning” (v5). When our “mountain stands strong,” we rejoice, yet our experience of weakness can remind us again of our complete dependence on the Lord (v6-8). We can be sure His ultimate desire is our healing (v10).
“You have turned for me my mourning into dancing” (v11). However long it takes, we know that God will fulfill His promises of rescue, healing, and joy.
