Proverbs 6
/“My son, keep your father's commandment, and forsake not your mother's teaching. Bind them on your heart always …. “ (v20-21). The proverbs urge us to let God’s ways become our constant companions, in our hearts and in our thoughts as we go about our daily lives (v22). The most destructive sins, the things “that the Lord hates” (v16), are more than just a moment’s stumble. Instead, the poisoning of friendships, adultery, pride and deception are all the result of several steps away from God (v17-19, 32).
“When you walk, they will lead you …” (v22). God calls us to walk closely with Him in the little things, daily, so that we can hear His voice clearly.
