Ruth 3-4

“Blessed be the LORD, who has not left you this day without a redeemer …” (4:14). Noemi, when she returned to Bethlehem, told her friends to call her “bitter,” because of all she had lost in Moab: her own husband and her two adult sons, her security and hope for the future (1:20).  Yet in her old age, Noemi experienced a surprising “redemption” through the sacrificial love of her foreign daughter-in-law Ruth, “more to you than seven sons” (4:15), who married righteous Boaz and gave Noemi a grandson, new hope for the future.

“He shall be to you a restorer of life …” (4:15). We can trust the Lord to redeem and restore everything we place in His hands.
