Romans 15

“Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God” (v7).  Paul urged the Jewish and Gentile believers in Rome not just to tolerate each other or ignore one another, but to “welcome” one another.  He quoted four Old Testament scriptures to prove, once again, that the Gentiles had always been part of God’s plan for redemption (v9-12). He prayed that these groups would overcome their many conflicts. “May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another” (v5).

When believers set aside their differences to welcome one another and worship “with one voice,” the world sees that Jesus is our true King (v6).
