I Chronicles 29
/“Then the people rejoiced because they had given willingly, for with a whole heart they had offered freely to the LORD” (v9). Starting with the King and leaders and then everyone else, the Israelites generously gave gold, silver, precious jewels and other materials for the building of Jerusalem’s Temple. Their offerings were an act of worship, recognizing that “all this abundance that we have provided for building You a house for Your holy name comes from Your hand and is all Your own” (v16).
“For all things come from You, and of Your own have we given You” (29:14). Knowing our Father is the source of all good things, we can give cheerfully and generously. His resources never run out.
