Romans 12

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind” (v2).  Paul urges believers to participate in the Spirit’s renewal of our hearts and minds.  He describes what the transformed life looks like in terms of our relationships. By faith, we are part of a new family, the Body of Christ, and we have spiritual gifts to share with one another (v3-8). As brothers and sisters, we enter in each other’s lives both emotionally and practically (v13,15) and aim to “live in harmony with one another” (v16).

God’s Spirit helps us learn “what is good and acceptable and perfect” (v2) through the daily effort of applying the way of Jesus to our own relationships.
