Micah 1-3

“The women of my people you drive out from their delightful houses; from their young children you take away my splendor forever” (2:9). The prophet Micah’s word of judgment fell most heavily on Judah’s leaders. Those with money and power were pushing the vulnerable out of their homes (2:2), while the religious leaders changed their preaching based on what their audience could offer them (3:5). Judah was called to be a peaceful refuge, but because of rebellion, “this is no place to rest” (2:10).

“I will gather the remnant of Israel” (2:12). God promised not to forget the poor, the vulnerable, and those seeking righteousness. He is a fortress and a refuge to those who call on Him.
