Revelation 11:5-19
/“But after the three and a half days a breath of life from God entered them, and they stood up on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them” (11:11). The “two witnesses” that John sees in a vision are martyred by the evil “beast”, and people disrespect their bodies by refusing to bury them. These witnesses (v4,olive trees/lampstands, likely representing the Church) are raised again, displaying God’s power to sustain His people through every persecution.
“The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ” (11:15). Those who trust in the Lord don’t need to fear; we are His children and citizens of His kingdom.
