Zechariah 13-14
/“And every pot in Jerusalem and Judah shall be holy to the LORD of hosts ...” (14:21). Although Zechariah encouraged the returned exiles that God wanted to help them rebuild the Temple and live securely, his prophesies pointed to coming Messiah’s much greater redemption. Through the Messiah’s work, holiness would break out of Temple rituals and spread to the ordinary people and places of the land: “every pot” and even “the bells of the horses” would be His (14:20).
“On that day living waters will flow out of Jerusalem” (14:8). The living water of Christ claims every part of life. His Spirit in us makes us holy from the inside out, and every moment of our days belongs to Him.
