I Corinthians 6

“Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God?” (v9). Horrified by the behavior of the Corinthian believers, Paul warned that neither the sexually immoral, “nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you” (v10). But now, Paul said, they were called to live up to their new identity. “But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ …” (v11). 

“Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you” (v19). We may struggle with sin, but we are not helpless.  God’s Spirit empowers us to become imitators of Jesus
