II Corinthians 3

“Our sufficiency is from God, who has made us sufficient to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit” (v5-6).  The Corinthian believers had many problems and were still immature, yet Paul trusted that God’s Spirit had been planted in their hearts through faith in Jesus (v3), and they were on their way to “glory.”  As they worshipped and followed the Lord together, they were “being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another” (v18).

“Such is the confidence we have through Christ toward God” (v4).  We can trust that the same Jesus who forgave our sins is also transforming us, by the Spirit’s power, into His own image.
