Galatians 3:15-29

“For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith” (v26).  Paul reassured the Galatians that their status as God’s children was secure through Jesus Christ, not cultural rituals (not even Jewish Law). The Law served its purpose to be “a guardian” for Israel (v24), pointing the way forward and giving boundaries to life, but “now that faith has come … you have put on Christ” (v27).  We are “clothed” with Jesus and His Spirit lives in us.

“There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus” (v28). Despite outward differences, we are unified through Jesus and the Spirit’s transforming work.
