Psalm 93

“The LORD reigns; he is robed in majesty; the LORD is robed; he has put on strength as his belt” (v1).  God’s strength and majesty are a comfort in a world that seems shaky, tumultuous, and uncertain.  Because God’s throne “is established from of old” (v2) and He is the Creator, we can trust that the world itself is in His hands. Ancient people feared the destructive power of floods and storms (v3) yet the psalmist declared that God was “mightier than the thunder of many waters” (v4).

“The world is established; it shall never be moved” (v1).  God loved the world enough to send Jesus, and no storm or threat can separate us from His faithful, redemptive love.
