Psalm 101

“I will ponder the way that is blameless” (v2). The psalmist declared that no matter what was happening in society around him, he would intentionally make personal choices that aligned with God’s ways. “I will walk with integrity of heart within my house” (v2). He would not spend time with those who slandered others or were self-righteous (v5-6). The Lord was calling him to pay attention to what he watched, heard, and put in his mind. “I will not set before my eyes anything that is worthless” (v3).

“I will sing of steadfast love and justice” (v1). What we dwell on changes us. God calls us to feed our minds with expressions of His love, truth, and beauty (Phil 4:8).
