Colossians 4
/“Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time” (v5). After teaching about our identity in Christ and household relationships (ch 3), Paul urged believers to be discerning in their treatment of outsiders. “Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person” (v6). Paul’s witness had landed him in prison, where he continued to live for Jesus and taught others to do the same, no matter the outcome. “See that you fulfill the ministry that you have received in the Lord” (v17).
“Grace be with you” (v18). In our marriages and parenting, work and witness, God calls us to “walk in wisdom” as He walks with us.
