Psalm 100
/“Know that the LORD, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his” (v3). The psalmist called God’s people to rejoice because we are not alone in the world. We don’t have to “find ourselves” or create our identities; we were made in God’s image, and we are precious to Him. We can “serve the Lord with gladness” (v2) because He loves us and wants good things for us. Our lives are not pointless; “We are his people, and the sheep of his pasture” (v3).
“For the LORD is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations” (v5). God wants to show His goodness and love to us, in this generation.
