Isaiah 48-50
/“It is too light a thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob ... I will make you as a light for the nations, that my salvation may reach to the end of the earth” (49:6). Through Isaiah, God said that His salvation was far greater than Israel imagined; it was going to reach around the world, bringing prisoners out of darkness (49:9) and including them as redeemed citizens of Zion.
“For He who has pity on them will lead them, and by springs of water will guide them” (49:9-10). God’s compassion for us is greater than we can imagine, and He uses every means possible to save us and bring us home.
