Jeremiah 6-8

“They have healed the wound of my people lightly, saying, ‘Peace, peace,’ when there is no peace” (6:14). Jeremiah accused Judah’s priests and prophets of ignoring the deep corruption of God’s people rather than calling for change. “For if you truly amend your ways and your deeds ... if you do not oppress the sojourner, the fatherless, or the widow ...I will let you dwell in this place” (7:6-7).

“Stand by the roads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is; and walk in it and find rest for your souls” (6:16). God calls us to a transformation of the heart that leads to a new ‘walk’ – a new way of life.
