Hebrews 2
/Because Jesus is the best and last word of God, the writer reminds us that we ignore Jesus at our peril. We must not "neglect such a great salvation." One of the ways that Jesus is the best revelation of God is that he entered our human experience with all its suffering. He "partook of the same things" (14).
Jesus as God's final word of revelation demands our obedience response (1). But Jesus is not a distant overlord, rather he is not "ashamed to call us brothers (v11). He is the perfect "founder of salvation" (10) because he understands our frailty and is able and willing to help us (18).
