Jeremiah 32-33
/“I will rejoice in doing them good ... with all my heart and all my soul” (32:41). Amazingly, at the same time the Lord spoke through Jeremiah about the capture of Jerusalem and the Babylonians exile, He also spoke about His plans for their forgiveness and redemption. Before the Israelites repented of terrible sins like idol worship and child sacrifice (32:34-35), God spoke words of mercy and hope to them, reminding them of His own covenant faithfulness (32:40, ch 33).
“I will give them one heart and one way ... for their own good and the good of their children after them” (32:39). Even before we turn to Him, God loves and us and makes a way for our redemption.
