Hebrews 10
/“Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus ... let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith” (v19-22). Many Jewish Christians were wondering if they needed to keep offering animal sacrifices at the Temple, or if they needed to prove their holiness to God before approaching Him. But the author of Hebrews urges them, and us, to “have confidence” that the Lord accepts us through our faith in Jesus, and He hears our prayers.
“Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward” (v35). Our stumbles and doubts cannot change the fact that we are God’s beloved children, redeemed through the cross of Christ. .
