Psalm 65-66
/In Psalm 65, David confesses his sin and embraces forgiveness (65:3). He extols God’s creation and the greatness of His power. Psalm 66 follows in the same spirit – “Shout joyfully..., all the earth.... Say to God, how awesome are your deeds... (66:1-5). But verse 10 lets us know that life after forgiveness also has its disciplines.
“You God, tested us. You refined us like silver...” (66:10). Discipline is part of God’s process for us. And if the end blessing is to be realized, the process cannot be avoided.
