Psalm 13

“How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and day after day have sorrow in my heart?” (2). In the middle of difficult circumstances, we feel as if our suffering is “forever” (1). The psalmist expressed the cry of everyone who longs to experience a breakthrough but instead feels like the Lord is hiding His face (1). In those times, our trust is in what we know about God, not our own feelings. “But I trust in Your unfailing love” (5).

“Look on me and answer, Lord my God. Give light to my eyes” (3). In the worst times, we know that God is our answer, even if we must wait. His light shines in our darkness.
