John 13-15

John particularly wants us to understand why the events of the passion week took place as they did. In Jh. 13:1-4 he removes any question concerning how much Christ knew, the activity of Satan in relation to Judas, the motivation of Jesus – love, and the essential lesson he wanted to leave with the disciples. He loved his disciples and would love them to the end. And so He washed their feet – including Judas’!

The amazing display of love and humility carried through the crucifixion experience of Christ. His instruction to us is to love as He loved, Jh. 15:12-14. Nothing else is “Christ-like.”
