Psalm 24
/“Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place?” (3). The psalms tell us about character of the God of Israel and what he desires from humanity. He is the Creator; everything belongs to him (1), and he is “strong and mighty in battle” for those who are his (8). He is looking for people who put their trust wholly in him and follow his heart, rather than chasing idols and false gods (4).
“Such is the generation of those who seek him” (6). God’s desire is always relationship: for us to stand redeemed in his “holy place,” and for him to take his throne among us, our King of Glory (7).
