Psalms 90

“Lord, you have been our dwelling place throughout all generations. Before the mountains were born, or you brought forth the whole world ... you are God” (v2). This ‘prayer of Moses’ reminds us that God is even more real and stable than the world around us. He is our true home (dwelling place), and we are secure in him forever. Humans are fragile, like dust (3), and our lives are short (10), but God gives us wisdom to make our years and our work meaningful (12,17).

“Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love” (14). We don’t know what a day will bring, but rooted in God, we can face life secure in his unfailing love.
