I Chronicles 19-28

“And you, my son Solomon, acknowledge the God of your father, and serve him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the Lord searches every heart and understands every desire and every thought” (28:9). King David urged his son Solomon to serve God whole-heartedly, because God desired authentic faith, not empty rituals. Chosen to build Jerusalem’s Temple, Solomon and his reign symbolized the peace and prosperity Israel could experience if they lived truly as God’s people.

“If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will reject you forever” (28:9). God is willing to be found by us and to walk with us, if we seek him intentionally with all our hearts.
