Psalm 10-12

““Why, Lord, do you stand far off? Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble?” (10:1). The psalmist saw that the weak were attacked and the helpless were oppressed, and he wondered where God was. Wicked people boasted about their crimes and said, “Nothing will ever shake me … God will never notice” (10:6,11). But the Lord “observes everyone on earth” (11:4); nothing is hidden from Him. “Because the poor are plundered and the needy groan, I will now arise,” says the Lord” (12:5)

“In the Lord I take refuge” (11:1). We trust that the Lord sees and cares for all. Rather than “flee”, He calls us to courageously share His heart and His purposes (11:2-3).
