Acts 1-2

“And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers” (2:42). Those who believed Peter’s message immediately took action; they were baptized and joined the growing community of believers. Their sins were forgiven because they believed in Jesus Christ, and their new faith led them to radical changes in the rhythm of their daily lives (v46) and even in their finances (2:45).

What had happened in the hearts of the new believers – faith and repentance – was reflected in their behavior, their joy, and their commitment to one another (2:47).
