Acts 27-28
/“But now I urge you to keep up your courage, because not one of you will be lost; only the ship will be destroyed” (27:22). Paul and his companions sailed (under guard) from the eastern Mediterranean all the way to Italy, encountering storms and shipwreck and many opportunities to preach about Jesus along the way. While Paul submitted to his earthly authorities on the journey, he lived, spoke, and treated people as a follower of Jesus and an ambassador of the coming kingdom.
In Rome, still under guard, Paul remained completely committed to Jesus’ purposes. Refusing to allow circumstances to control him, he “proclaimed the kingdom of God and taught about the Lord Jesus Christ” (28:31).
