Acts 25-26

“I am sending you to them to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light ...” (26:17-18). As he defended himself against false accusations, Paul spoke respectfully to the Roman authorities and to King Agrippa. He insisted that he had “done nothing wrong” (25:10) and broken no laws. Paul wanted to be free, but he used his arrest and trial as a chance to speak to the hearts of his accusers, so they would hear the gospel and have the opportunity to believe in Christ (26:18).

“So I stand here and testify ...” (26:22). In freedom or in chains, in peace or in trouble, our lives can testify to the loving, forgiving, saving grace of Jesus.
