Psalm 29
/“The God of glory thunders, the LORD thunders over the mighty waters” (3). God’s glory is like a powerful storm, sweeping over us and causing all creation to cry in awe and wonder “glory!” (9). The psalmist commands us to declare aloud, to “ascribe to the Lord”, glory and strength (1). We worship because God deserves it, and we worship because, as humans, it is part of our nature and design as God’s creatures.
“And in his temple all cry, ‘Glory!’” (9). Worship draws us into the presence of our God who is greater and more powerful than anything else we might face, bringing us the peace and perspective we need (11).
