Acts 27
/“So take heart, men, for I have faith in God that it will be exactly as I have been told.
But we must run aground on some island” (v25-26). Paul trusted that God would keep him and his companions safe, even during the traumatic experience of shipwreck. Neither naïve nor fearful during the storm, Paul urged the others to “take heart.” Despite the fact that the ship’s captain had ignored Paul’s advice, God had not abandoned them (v21-22). God’s purposes, which included saving all their lives, would prevail.
Life on our shadowed planet may include “injury and loss” (v21), but we are not alone. God is with us, and we will end our journey safe in His care.
