Acts 28
/“From morning till evening he expounded to them, testifying to the kingdom of God and trying to convince them about Jesus” (v23). Paul believed that God’s salvation in Jesus Christ was for everyone, everywhere. Shipwrecked at Malta, he prayed for the sick and healed them. Under guard in Rome, he preached the gospel to Jewish leaders and “welcomed all who came to him” (v30). Everywhere, Paul seized opportunities to speak about Jesus.
“He lived there two whole years” (v30). Rome took away Paul’s everyday freedom, but he still lived by and for Christ: “I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content … I can do all things through him who strengthens me” (Phil 4:11-13).
