Philippians 4
/“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God ….” (v6). Through hardship, Paul had learned how to be content in any circumstance (v11), and he shared his wisdom. Instead of being captive to anxiety, he urged believers to be proactive, taking every concern to our Father. And in place of dwelling on the “what ifs” and letting negativity take over, we should fill our minds with what is true, lovely, and excellent (v8).
Despite life’s problems, our souls can still find rest. “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (v7).
