Exodus 4

"If they will not believe you," God said, "or listen to the first sign, they may believe the latter sign” (v8).  God knew that Moses would encounter resistance and trouble on the mission to get the Israelites out of Egypt.  On top of that, Moses was reluctant to be the leader, begging God to “send someone else” (v14).  Yet God had a plan that could not be stopped, as long as Moses and the Israelites kept moving forward.  Neither Pharaoh’s unwillingness nor Moses’ own fear were insurmountable obstacles.

“And the people believed” (v31).  Faith is the one thing necessary.  God can remove obstacles and calm our fears, if we will believe Him.
