Genesis 23-24
/“O LORD, God of my master Abraham, please grant me success today and show steadfast love to my master Abraham” (24:12). Abraham sent his servant out to search for the right wife for Isaac. Both Abraham and the servant believed that God would be faithful and therefore refused to use manipulation or pressure to get what they wanted. Abraham assured his servant that if things didn’t work out, he wouldn’t be blamed, and the servant himself waited for Rebecca to willingly choose her future (24:8,58).
“This thing has come from the Lord” (24:50). We can step out in faith, without pressure or fear, trusting that the Lord’s guidance will be clear when we need it.
