Romans 3
/“None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God” (v10-11). Paul knew that his fellow Jewish brethren were tempted to think that they were more righteous than Gentiles and favored by God, since they were recipients of the Law. He explained that it was indeed an honor to be entrusted with God’s Word (v1-2), yet the Word served to highlight their unfaithfulness. In the end, Jew and Gentile were exactly alike: accountable to God for sin (v19).
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God…” (v23-24). We have an amazing bond with everyone we meet: we are all sinners, and God’s grace through Jesus is available to each of us.
