Psalm 73
/“Behold, these are the wicked; always at ease, they increase in riches. All in vain have I kept my heart clean … (v12-13). The psalmist struggled with life’s unfairness and wondered if following God’s ways was worthwhile. In the sanctuary, he sought understanding, and there the Lord changed his perspective (v17). Our lives are not about one snapshot, but instead a long-term trajectory toward God or away from Him. Even the momentary failures of our own heart can’t keep us from God’s ultimate goodness (v26).
“Nevertheless, I am continually with you; you hold my right hand” (v23-24). When we sincerely commit our lives to the Lord, He takes hold of our hand and does not let go.
