Psalm 11
/“In the Lord I take refuge” (v1). The psalmist rebuked the scaremongers who urged him to “Flee like a bird to your mountain!” (v1). They panicked because “the foundations of the righteous were destroyed” and the wicked were shooting their arrows at good people. But instead of running away or giving in to fear, the psalmist reminded them that “The Lord is in His holy temple … His eyes see” (v4). God is aware of what is going on, and He is still in charge.
“For the Lord is righteous … the upright shall behold His face” (v7). God is on the throne, and we are secure. He is our refuge now and our eternal home.
